ENC - provides an encoder function
DEC - provides a decoder function
INPUTS - number of data bit inputs to an encoder
OUTPUTS - number of data bit outputs from a decoder (does not include a
valid data bit)
MOMENTARY - decoder output is present only while data is being received
LATCHED - decoder output retains data after reception of data stops
VALID - decoder includes an output that indicates valid data is being
received (momentary)
ADDRESS - number of addresses that can be selected
